PERHUMAS Indonesia held its Farewell Night for Mr. August Parengkuan last Monday, 24 September 2012. Mr.August Parengkuan was one of the very well regarded person in Indonesia. He began his career on 1965 as a Reporter of Kompas for Court news. His not only as a reporter, with Diploma Degree of Political Science from Australia National University, Canberra, Australia which lead him as the Senior Vice President of Kompas Gramedia Group. Besides that, Mr.August Parengkuan also join with Public Relations Association of Indonesia as Chairman of Public Relations Association of Indonesia from the period 2000-2002.
Now we are so proud of him because he was appointed as the Ambassador to Italy, Malta and Cyprus as well as the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the World Food Program (WFP), the UN Center for Human Settlements (UNCHS) and the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (Unidroit). In this farewell event, Mr.August has achieved FIPR and the Pair embedding pin from Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani as the current President of PERHUMAS.
